Shopping opportunities

The streets of Budapest are full of lovely stores. Going downtown most certainly means going shopping.

An alternative option is to go to one of the shopping centers, of which the most popular is the Westend City Center. It is located near the Nyugati railway station and has over 400 stores.

The nearest shopping mall to the hotel is Mammut, which you can find near Moszkva square. The specialty of this mall is, that it has a bio market and bio shops.

In all the shopping malls you can find cinemas and there is an opportunity for 3D movies as well.

Pylones: They create everyday-used objects with very funny design.

Rózsavölgyi chocolate store: This shop has a soul. Chocolate can be defined here as an artifact not some mere sweet.

Retrock deluxe: It is a modern, exclusive shop with a hint of the "turn of century" salons. Here you can buy enchanted clothes and accessories designed by Hungarian fashion's influential designers like: Anh Tuan, Cistas, Je Suis Belle, Nagy Adrienn, Nanushka, Szép Szidónia and Zsega.

Although Szentendre is not part of Budapest, it is well worth a visit. Just a few kilometers outside of Budapest, this charming village is known as the center of Danube bend's art world.

Plenty of places to enjoy a great meal, we suggest the followings:

Fausto and its small sister restaurant Osteria, are both located in the center of Budapest and offer the best contemporary Italian cuisine in the city. Excellent selection of Hungarian wines as well.

Kárpátia, a restaurant operating from the year 1877, is a typical Hungarian restaurant, offering gipsy music every evening.

Rustico serves traditional Hungarian and Italian dishes in a charming antique folk environment.

The Apetito restaurant is situated in the castle district and it is special because you can try 6 different meals with 6 different wines at a very fair price.

For a contemporary Hungarian dishes in a retro atmosphere we suggest Menza, one of the most popular restaurants in the city.

If you are looking for a nice little restaurant with reasonable prices, and excellent selection of wines we suggest you to try Klassz.

Nearby programs

The followings are all in the vicinity of the hotel

One of the most popular activities is to go for a ride on the childrens' railway - running through the forest nearby and entirely run by ten to fourteen year old children.

Similarly popular is the Chairlift that runs above the Zugliget forest. The walk in the woods near the station is refreshing and the view is magnificent!

Ten minutes from the hotel is the Budakeszi Animal Park, where both kids and adults can enjoy the proximity of nature and animals.
